Well OK, Let's see I have slightly over $400 in parts already (And I will 
need a few more, you know how that goes, Where did that ..... go, might 
as well ......) Then the machine shop cost me a it more than $600. So 
there is the $1000 to start with. Now as far as the actual labor for the 
rebuild, I have no idea what a shop gets for a labor rate these days. But 
I would think that another grand  or grand and a half would do it. So you 
are right that is a bit high. Unless there is something else going on.
