Hello,
I'm trying to learn more about our MG while I work on it, and while poking
around under the hood (bonnet) I found some things to ask about. Most
involve hoses and their proper routing. The car has been "de-smogged" & has
a single Weber carb.
First, the crankcase breather hose simply goes up and over the manifolds and
hangs pointing downward. Is this correct? Haynes & Clausager seem to show
y-pipes, etc, but I assume a car in my situation may be different.
On the charcoal canister, the middle top line goes to the rocker cover. One
of the others goes under the car (to the fuel tank?) and the other top
connecter as well as the fitting on the bottom of the canister pointing
towards the front of the car have no associated hoses. Comments?
Lastly, the coolant overflow hose is attached to the side of the radiator
with a bit of wire and then goes through the hole in the shroud and rests in
the little rail where the cross member bolts protrude. What is the proper
routing?
Thanks for help on my novice questions,

-Dan
