Jeep mechanical question no LBC....

Sory for hitting the list with this, but was hoping someone may be able to help 
me find a problem with my 89 Wrangler.

Occasionally, and only when the car is idling, the engine will skip a beat, it 
never dies, but the revs drop from 1000 to 500, and it's intermittent, it 
doesn't do it all the time.  Any ideas on where to start looking, I've already 
cleaned the distributor cap, I'm thinking of changing the leads, and plugs, 
anything else it might be....?????
