   You are of course, right.  It is not a correct red.  The original is
more brick red.  Then again, I also had 1000 watts of nice 'yellow'
quartz shop lights illuminating the engine when I took the pictures.
It's closer than it looks in these shots.

   Thank you.  Again, the colors deceive.  The engine is not as
'lipstick' or plum burgundy as it first seems and the engine bay
is Pale Primrose Yellow.  The exhaust header IS brilliant white.
I thought it would roast into a nice tan (and it may still) but the
1500 degree exhaust paint, so far, is holding up.

Our '79 B is the same way.  It is black, needs a hard detail and
is not getting any attention.
