   Guys, if there was ever a candidate for a replacement dash harness,
it is this one.  If I needed to get the car back into operation quickly, I
would opt for the replacements commercially available.  Otherwise,
make your own.  Either way, you need to get rid of those melted wires.
I had a similar problem with a TR6 as a kid.  The lighting circuit melted
the wire bundle when a floor mounted dimmer switch broke through to
the metal floor pan.  The lighting circuit wires melted through into the
ignition and starter wires resulting in a car that started itself and take off,
it also wouldn't disengage the starter and basically did A LOT of damage.
Haven't owned a Triumph since. :-P
