Frank,

You do have a jack under the spring pan supporting most of the weight of
the car and taking the spring pressure off the upper shock don't you? 
If not, you can thank your lucky stars you haven't gotten those bolts
out!

You should be able to beat them out, but if they are really rusted they
get very tight in the bushings, even fused to the rubber.  Heat and
penetrating oil will help, but I have actually had to remove the entire
suspension assembly and press these buggers out.  (This actually isn't
that hard. Just unbolt the shock from the cross member, swing it down,
release the jack and remove the spring.  Then you can unbolt the fulcrum
arm from the bottom of the cross member.)

These bolts are included in the kingpin rebuild kit, and available
separately from the usual suppliers.
