Jim;

You are correct about doing suspension work without the lump in the engine
room!

I just replaced my front springs and all the attending bushes, seals, new
nuts etc. with the motor out while waiting for motor parts to arrive. I had
to wrap a cable around the jack and the top of the shock body to keep the
car from lifting off the jack stands! It can be done, but its easier with
the motor aboard.
