Because of the length of the message, I removed most of it. Relevent
bits remain (This is good to do anyway).

Yes. The 77 and later models did get a anti-sway bar installed in
the front and rear of the car to correct the nasty rolling tendancies.
Like Martin said, you can use the approriate bits from an older car,
or you can buy new springs from Moss, Ed, whoever. You may need new
shorter links as well (I haven't done this, don't know for sure).

Well, while many on the list are quite good, many are not. I am in
the "not" group, and still manage to get things done. The B engine is
pretty simple actually, I refurbished one with the help of a very good
neighbor (who also was a mechanic).

I moved from the CD150 on my 75 to dual HIF4 SU's. Better power, and
looks really good to boot. If you go the SU route, don't bother with
the header, the stock manifold is quite good. (I am saving you from
the grief I am dealing with, damn exhaust leak wont go away)

I had the downdraft Weber on my dad's 78' B (converted before we got
it), it was better than the Stromberg, but is an economy carb after
all. IMHO, it is no better than the twin SU's, and it just doesn't
look "right". The SU's sound better too :)

I use Pirelli P400 185/70R14. Nice tyres. Seem to do pretty well in
the (occasional) wet, but I don't/won't drive hard enough to stress
them in the twisties (an autocross driver I am not).

ps: I may describe these particular twisties in another post.
