If you change the mounting flange on the dash board to a 90` style as the
early metal dash, you will also have to change the mounting flange on your
body cowl, as it is at an angle to match the later dash. Changing both is a
good bit of work. Sounds like creative foam work may be the easier solution.
I installed the complete cowl from an early car onto a 1978 body, then the
dash from a 1966 & foam from Moss was a bolt in. Fitting the late model
steering column is a whole 'nother story.
