Typical stud removal technique.  Install two 5/16-24 hex nuts on the stud,
tighten them against each other to jam the threads, use a wrench on the
inner nut to unscrew the stud.  Installation is the opposite of removal.

When installing the new studs you should be aware that these threaded holes
(the four in the middle not the two on the ends) go through into the
verticle holes for the head studs.  As such, you should apply thread
sealant to the threads of the manifold studs before installation to prevent
oil from weeping out onto the exhaust manifold.

Also check to be sure the threads on that end of the stud are not too long,
so the manifold stud does not extend so far into the head as to foul the
head studs (like set screws), which occasionally causes severe
consternation for an unsuspecting mechanic later trying to remove the
cylinder head.
