Thank you very much to all who answered my question about polarizing a new
generator. I have great respect for how little I understand about
electricity and I had much trepidation about doing this job. I had visions
of cooking the generator and the wiring harness in 1.5 seconds. My son and
I got the job done in about an hour hooking a long lead of 14ga to the one
of the batteries and the car now runs perfectly with no nasty red lights
staring at me.
