Blake:
Grafting the the rear of a donor frame onto the Twin-Cam frame is just
one of the options for dealing with a rusty frame. The grafting process
MAY end up with a seriously weak spot on the frame unless done properly.
Myself, I used a very good 1500 frame and just transplanted the unique
Twin-Cam bits from YD3/1437's terminally-rusty frame onto it and drilled
the special holes. No splice welds on the frame runners was the main
benefit.
