Just did the deed on my'67.  The 4-synchro O/D fits the tunnel fine.  Had to
relocate the tunnel cover further aft and fill the void left at the front.
Before installing, remove the 90deg speedo cable fitting!  You may replace
it later, or, with the longer O/D cable, find you can do without.
