I think this had been discussed before some time ago, so perhaps more can
be found in the archives.
There were some objective scientific studies done (it is out on the net
somewhere). The result was that any benefit that Slick 50 had in
reducing wear (and there was some) was offset by the tendency of the
stuff to clog up oil passages(!).
