It sounds like the harmonic balancer has given up the ghost.  The sound 
probably isn't coming from the belt, it is coming from the rubber in the 
pulley.  If you can rotate the belt attached to the alternator/water pump by 
hand while it is still connected to the crank pulley, you have found the 
problem.  The clicking sound you hear might be from the index key in the 
pulley.
