Paul,
I had one put in by a friend (amateur seamstress), turns out after some
professional insight that the zipper isn't quite in straight or even or
something.  Anyways it will split anytime any stretch or pull is put on the
tonneau.  The shop I talked to couldn't handle something as heavy as the
tonneau but they said go to a good backpacking or tent repair shop.  I
haven't gotten estimates for this yet but you might want to make some calls.
