Felt Seal in Trunk for MGA

One of the last things to do on my MGA restoration is to replace the felt
seal that is between the trunk bottom and the very back of the
car--immediately in front of the rear bumper but inside.  What have you used
for this material--felt or some rubber material?  How have you attached it?
