Hello -
The other day, I was driving my 73 B, and it started popping. Felt like
a little balloon popping under the accellerator. Got worse & worse, till it
was happening 6-8 times in a row. Pulled over and checked under the hood,
found the cap on the rear carb sticking out. Screwed it back in, and
was on my way, no more problems. 10 - 15 minutes later, it began again.
Now, it's happening very often. I inspected the threads on the cap
and the body of the cylinder it screws in to, but they look fine.
I recently topped up the carbs with 20W50 oil, not overfilled, and
it was fine for days after that.
Any ideas what could be going on here?
