I really think you're out of luck on this one. There is no "Barr's Stop
Leak" for fuel tanks <g>.
Besides, it's not that big a job. Just make sure you have the gasket in
hand, and an almost empty tank before starting. But it's really just jack up
the car (supporting it safely); disconnect fuel line; remove the sender unit
(gross oversimplification, I know); replace gasket, sender and fuel line;
lower car.
If you are going to jack up the car even for an inspection, you might as
well just take care of it.
PS Having looked at some of the other responses, I should add that I am
assuming the tank proper is intact, and that you broke one of the flanges
off of the lock ring. Which wouldn't stop it from working, necessarily -- it
would just make it harder to get on and off.
The other place it could leak is where the base of the pipe is brazed to the
circular plug. I would think hard-setting gasket compound might work, but it
would be better to have it brazed at a radiator shop.
