Matt was asking about the civic seats in a midget.

Driving position is fine, with the seat pushed back to where its squab is
touching the rear axle 'tunnel' that transverses the car I can still tilt
the seat back so that its back actually touches the rear arch . I could not
do this with the older seats as I think the elevated height of the seats
allows a greater arc of movement for the seat back. I will be posting some
pictures on my site when the weather warms up.

I did compare the "uncompressed" height at the front of the two seats a and
the MG seat was maybe 1/2-1" lower. Of course once you sit on the seat the
difference is probably greater due to the difference in age of the seats.

In fact I end up having more room then with the stock seats . You are
correct in that the seats are somewhat higher then the stock. I typically
drive with my legs splayed anyway , not because of the wheel ( plenty of
clearance ) but because I'm pretty tall, 6ft 11/2" but not too fat ( I
think ) 185lb. I am able to sit in the car with the top of my head in line
with the top of the windscreen.
I will be posting pics of the seats when I get a chance and will let the
list know .

Hope this helps
Justin
