Hello Listers,

I have been struggling to adjust my Z-S on my 75B, in order to have it pass
Aircare (smog test), improve the B's performance & improve the fuel economy.

I have completed the following:
* Adjusted valves - ok according to spec
* Adjusted dizzy gap - ok ditto
* Adjusted timing -ok                 ditto

I have however, become totally confused as to the setting of the floats. I do
not understand how one can achieve the values (.0625) looking at the picture in
the Haynes manual.

I have done research in the archives in both this & other lists & am unable to
find out how to adjust them accurately.
I have purchased the Bentley manual but it has yet to arrive.

The problem symptoms on the B are as I mentioned above & also backfires under
compression both changing up or slowing down.

Could someone suggest a site I could look into, or does the list have some
ideas.

On the subject of the bugs, I once attended a motivational lecture given by a
fellow raised in Winnipeg Canada. His opening remarks were:

"I'm going to show you how not to be a squashed bug on the windshield of life".

After a terrific lecture one of the attendees, who was highly excited &
motivated, shouted out, "I'm so motivated, I could hunt ducks with a rake".

Thanks in advance
Aubrey 75B
