You can look at it two ways. Figure the cost of a '69 with all of
those things fixed, subtract the cost of fixinging them and he should
probably pay you about $200 to haul the car off. Alternatively, take a
look at the cost of replacing the various parts that you would expect
to have rust, or dents, that don't.

About 10 years ago, a friend had a car in slightly worse shape than
that who asked me what it would take to get it back on the road. I
told her more than the car was worth, if she was paying someone else
to do the work. She then sold me the car for a buck. Over the next
month I promptly sunk $5,000 into repair and replacing everything but
the motor and the paint and had myself a very nice MGBGT that I could
probably sell for about $2,000.

restoration anyways, might as well start with something that needs all
the work. So if you want a running MGB, even if you get it for free,
