Thanks for all the advice. This afternoon I swapped the right and left hubs. I have no idea why they were incorrectly placed, as they're clearly stamped "RH" or "LH". Also replaced the brake hoses that I'd ordered last year. Now I'm just waiting for my new (used) knock-off nut to arrive in the mail early next week.
