That's a darn good question.

It looks like there are two choices:

1. Seal the hub, being sure to clean the splines and renew the grease
regularly to avoid trapped moisure;

2. Wash the wheels frequently, being sure to clean the splines and renew the
grease regularly to avoid trapped moisure.

What's that they say? "There Is No Such Thing As A Free Lunch".
