I got one a while back out of a parts car.  It was used then with miles 
on it. (don't know how many)   But it was still in good condition, so I 
re-used it.

It has been in my car for two years now.  I have had no problems with it. 

I heard people's concerns about them, but figured what the heck, it was 
paid for already with the car, why not try it.
