I am 6' 6" tall, so I do need all the room I can get.  I drilled holes in
the underside of the seat frame and installed the diaphragm utilizing these
holes.  Every 3/4" helps!
Oh yes, this was done over a year and a half ago, and at 215#, I consider
the job well tested.
