Apologies to the list for bringing up the "Why nylock nuts" string.
However, I have found the answers to my question both educational and
informative.
What prompted my inquiry was, this: I have been restoring these LBC's for
several years, this is my first MGB. (CB'74) and I found a lot of nylon nuts in
several places; I had not seen that many on any of the other cars I had done.
So, sorry if was a "goofy" question, but I am always amazed at the breadth of
knowledge on our British autos lists.
