Well, with all I've heard pro and con about the Miata, I had to ask. I
didn't know much about them myself. I've driven an older model and couldn't
see anything special there myself, and don't know a thing about the later
models, but you never know, especially one with suspension and engine mods
and in full racing trim.
On your Cobra, very nice car. I have a C5 Corvette roadster now myself. Sold
my B to get it (LBC content). On the VetteNet list they call Corvette
convertibles a "Vert".
Yeah, you're right. Lots of the guys on the Vette list are eat up with HP
and performance talk too. Shame on them. Shame on them. I wonder why they do
it????
By the way - Would you like to participate in a test of automotive
engineering (in other words; Wanna drag)? ; < )
My Vette is pure stock and is rated at "only" 350 HP and I have "only" the
LS1 engine, not the LS6 rated @ 405 HP - BUT, I know my Vette will out drag
a stock Cobra SVT because I've done it just recently. It was a brand new
coupe. Didn't even have a permanent license plate yet. I'll admit, it was
close, but I DID get him by a little better than a car length or so. My
Vette weighs a little less and I'm sure that played into it. Believe me, I'm
not intending to get into a Ford vs. Chevy thing with you (or with anybody
else on this MG list). They are both very nice cars in their own right and
I'm sure that you are just as proud of your Cobra as I am my Vette.
That supercharger sure does looks awesome when you pop the hood on the Cobra
- but, still, there's nothing like a Corvette!
