MGB Electrical

I just received a new wiring harness for my '63 B and I'm working on figuring
out how it goes in. A number of you kind folks responded to my plea for help
putting it back together and I've found some good sites with restoration
pictures that have helped a lot.

The harness from British Wiring comes in 2 pieces: main for under the dash
and the rear tail lights/fuel pump. The rear harness drops through the trunk
and
runs under the car. I'm sure there's good reason for it running under the car
but is there any advantage to running it through the interior? Seems it would
save an awful lot on weather wear and tear.

I've started in the front and have identified the headlamp wiring, horns and
misc. other items but the harness kit didn't include the connections between
the headlamps. Is it typical that these connections (I'm sure there will be
others besides the headlamps) have to be made up individually? Assuming that's
the case, I'm thankful for the thread on soldering the bullets.

Thanks for the continued help.
