Hi Gang,
I have an 1100cc engine from a MkII Sprite (I
believe). I am going to pass it on to a friend
here at work who wants to learn how to rebuild
engines. He will do all the work while I kabitz.
The power plant is a basic little Austin pushrod
engine in need of a general rebuild. Chris will
get the opportunity to measure bearing and ring
clearances, learn the methods of measuring bore
wear and learn general mechanical techniques
including how to do a valve job. He will also
learn how to communicate needs to the machine shops.
Any thoughts from you on this engine? Anyone have
a set of good photos, rebuild notes or in-depth
specifications?
