Obviously, the guy doesn't have a clue about MGBs. The picture of
under the hood shows that it was black originally, unless that was 
painted black.

I loved the 3 speed. And the line that said the body was never taken
off for restoration. Taken off what?

Missing LE wheels is curious. But it has the luggage rack and steering
wheel. Which, of course, are quite easy to come by.

My guess is that it is an LE, repainted and the wheels stolen or sold.
