Paul M. mentioned using a vinyl dye. I recently used a dye on a vinyl dash (not
in the MGB) and it worked great. The dash was supposed to be dark grey.
Instead, it was sort of dark grey streaked with brown, tan, light grey, white,
etc. -- an ugly mess. I masked off the dash, used the dye kit as specified, and
the result was outstanding. It was easy to use and I finished in under two
hours (not including the masking). The fellow selling the dye is Danny at
Leather Magic in Monroe, NC. 1-800-232-4092. If you give him an interior color
code number, he'll ship a kit to you. The kit cost me $40 and I have about half
of the prep solution and the dye left. Shipping and handling depend upon how
far you are from North Carolina and how fast you want him to ship it. I don't
have any financial interest in Leather Magic, but its vinyl dye is a good
product and Danny was very helpful.
