So it's pretty funny. Last fall, I got a new seat belt from
Moss. I had a gift certificate, and it seemed like a good thing
to replace. The probably original ones were looking pretty old,
and the boys had a hard time with the inertia locks.
I just got one to see how it went. Installation was easy. I'm planning
on another one for the driver this spring.
Last Saturday in the mail, I got a recall notice. Not thinking of the
MG at all. I read it and it's for the belt. Brittle metal made for
two months.
Anybody else got one? If I remember right, it only affects belts
manufactured in July and August of last year. I haven't had time to get
under the car cover yet. Tonight I'm volunteering at the Wild game.
Hopefully, I can find a bit of time tomorrow night.
I'm also thinking of, gasp (don't look Ed, Kelvin or Jeff! :-)),
ordering for the first time with this MG from Victoria British. They've
got a good sale on seat belts running to the end of them month.
But then again, there will always be another sale. And it will probably
have to wait for the tax refund. :-) And they wouldn't match.
