Monte,
Here's the news, and it's good. Saturday I fastened the brake MC,
freshly rebuilt by White Post, to the bracket assy, pushed that into the
space and reconnected the clutch MC that I had left in place. Connected
the hydraulics while everything was still loose, then installed &
tightened all bolts.
Bled the system with a vacuum bleeder. Interestingly, just as Paul
Hunt mentioned Monday, the line most difficult to free of air was right
front, not rear as one would think. Took the car out for test drive and
the car stopped well. No drops of fluid on my shoes. Went out again
later for another test drive; no fluid dripping onto my shoes. But then
I looked at the floormat and there was a wet spot. Oh dammit no,
not another leak!!! But it wasn't fluid, it was water from the heel
tread of my shoe. Drove to church and then to our MG gathering on
Sunday. Checked again yesterday and again this morning. Floormat is
still dry!!
All is well. The MGB goes and the MGB stops. What more could anyone
ask?
Bob
