    I bought a univeersal towbar from Pep Boys, had a replacement bumper 
made of 2" angle iron, bolted and welded the brackets to that. It's 
bolted to the original bumper supports.  The bolts that hold the 
brackets on the bumper also go through the bumper supports.  The towbar 
has quick-disconnect pins that attach the bar to the bumper brackets. 
The car can be quickly unhooked by means of pulling the pins.
