I attended the MG 2004 planning meeting last night in Morristown, NJ (Took the
Midget for this 170 mile round trip). Plans are coming together very well, MG
Car Club - Central Jersey Centre is doing a wonderful job. There are close to
200 cars pre-registered as of Monday (5/10). Over 40 clubs from 20 States and
Canada will be represented. There are 26 cars coming from four clubs out of
Ohio. This is the largest number representing any single State. What is most
amazing to me is that the number of cars coming from OH is three times the
total number of cars pre-registered from CT, RI, MA, ME, NH and VT combined and
even edges out the host club's State of New Jersey.
There are still a little less than half of the 300 rooms, set aside at the
Parsippany Hilton, available. There are only 75 seats remaining for the Awards
Banquet. Over 100 people are taking advantage of the fantastic Bus tour and
Circleline Boat Tour of NYC, deals (two separate trips).
A Disc Jockey has been hired for the Friday evening picnic and subsequent
friday night hotel parking lot party.
