The "good sound" issue may be complicated by using stainless, it Does
resonate differently than mild steel.

I use 360 degree round stainless clamps on my current Peco system..obtained
from a welding and hydraulic supply house for about 3 bucks each. The wonderful
thing about these, for those who've never seen them, is that they have one
captive bolt with a nyloc which cinches down the entire clamp, which is a solid
round piece only about 1/8 thick. Thus there's No big clamp or ubolt to catch
on the ever present speedbumps...or in the case of my last memoriable failure,
a frost-heaved piece of asphalt in a high Sierra national forest parking lot.
A coathanger and radiator clamp got me home and through several months of
driving... ( if it ain't broke don't fix it!) proving that the stock exhaust
"hanger" can be improved upon. (pun intended)
