I think it likely that your u-bolts on the rear axle need to be tightened.
They are loose enough to allow the rear axle to shift. BTDT.

Subject: Problem During Deceleration

All,

As some of you may be aware, I recently completed the restoration of my '66B
and am now on the road working out the remaining rattles, clunks and
curiosities. In general, however, it runs great and is an absolute joy to
drive!

Here's the issue: When I slow down without braking (for example, driving at
50 mph in 4th and removing my foot from the gas pedal without hitting the
brakes), I notice a tendency for the car to pull slightly...ever so
slightly...to one side (I can't remember if it's to the left or right).
Under power, the car runs nice and straight (on a level road) which is
surprising to me since I set the toe-in myself (to within specification I
believe). Any ideas?

Thanks,

Dave Macedonia
