Apart from the current TF and Z-series models, production of which is
suspended, none of the past models right up to the Maestro, Montego and
Metro are really affected by the closure of MG Rover, who have not made
parts for these cars for many years. Even RV8 parts have been going NLA
(from MG Rover) for some time. As for the TF and Z-series the MG Owners
Club already offers technical and parts support. The MG Rover parts
business was not immediately affected by the closure, and I've read it has
already been sold, not unexpected as there will continue to be a market for
parts for 'current' models for some time, indeed they are still available at
dealers.
