Re: coolant loss

I had overheating and loss of coolant in my MGC and no sign of any  leakage - 
even when checked with dye indicators to see if the head gasket was  blown 
and allowing combustion gases into the coolant and vice versa.
 
In desparation, I changed the head gasket. Fixed the problem. You never  know.
