TD Rear Springs Removal

A friend called me tonight regarding the rear
springs on his TD that he's attempting to remove.
He is having difficulty reaching the bolt head end
on the front eye because it is surrounded in the
boxed frame section.  I'm not at all familiar with
this car, having worked on the more modern stuff,
Sprites, and too long ago to remember on an MGA.

He's coming to borrow some tools from me
tomorrow.  What advice might I give him as to the
best way to remove the bolt?
