Richard,

I have Dunlop SP40 175/70R14, The normal would be about 165/70R14, but I
recall when I got my tires the 175 was a bit easier to get. Most any tire
supplier can get them and I got mine at Discount Tire.

What is the standard tyre size for an MGBGT ('73 model, with rostyle
wheels)? My DPO has fitted 195/65 14's, but I don't think that is original?

Also, any particular recommendations? My priorities are: Price, Grip in
the Dry, and relatively benign behaviour when they do start to let go (which
is probably a contradiction with getting the best grip!). It will rarely if
ever be driven in the wet, and won't do astronomical miles, so wet
performance, long life, and reduced fuel consumption don't really matter to
me.
