First thing that I want to to confirm is that it is actually a 66 MGC. If it is
indeed a Mk1 C (probably a 67) then buy it any ways and get it fixed.

all let me know what you think?

This is the Ad... I originally posted this for $10,000 but recently had
a knowledgeable restoration specialist appraise it. Apparently it had
been hit (front and back) and paid a visit to a body shop. It will also
need some body work. Fortunately, the frame is good and the engine is
good but the body could stand to go to a chop shop to achieve fully
restored-to-original condition. All totaled, I'm dropping my price to
$6,000 but will consider best offer. Serious inquiries only please.

I asked about the damage and here is the reply: In answer to your
questions: If you open the trunk and feel along the inside of the back
end of the unibody you can feel some irregularities (i.e. some
protrusions from the impact of a collision), there are some other
telltale signs on the front end but like the back end it is only evident
to the trained eye. But the alignment is fine as far as I can tell.
The car handles very nice and curbs well on the winding roads and I have
not noticed anything out of the ordinary as far as the ride is
concerned.
