Wow - what an extreme low price!
I just checked and LPG is around 0.52 EURO = US$ 0.67 PER LITER!
I know that the gallon is much more than a liter, so this $ 0.17 is absolutely
stunning.

Cheers,

Hans

    Right Bert,

But we've got some clever MG owners, who have converted their cars to use
    LPG fuel!
That comes at a very much lower rate!
It's cleaner as well, though the cyl head needs some hardened valve

  Hans,

Conversion to LPG was once very popular here on the US/Meico border. The
LPG was selling in Mexico for $.17 a gallon, so nearly every pick up truck had
a 100 gallon tank in the back and went to Mexico every 2-3 weeks to fill up.

Of course, Mexico woke up to the fact that we were coming across and buying
LPG that the Mexican government subsidized (kept the price artificially low)
so Mexicans could afford to heat their houses.

Also, it too many folks in the US do that, we ARE still liable for the state
and federal taxes already being collected at the pump with gasoline, so I can
assure you the fed and states would start looking for ways to collect these
taxes.
