I began using air and electric impact and ratcheting type tools some
years ago. They're fine for removing fasteners AFTER you've broken them
loose by hand. They're also good for running fasteners in at low
torque. My only caution is to not over torque things. Some of the more
powerful tools can twist fasteners off in a flash. The last portable
drill I acquired has an adjustable slip-chuck, a very good feature. Of
all my air tools, I use a 3/8" drive air ratchet the most frequently.

   Cheers,

   CR
