Bud:

I built such a level warning into my TD. As my late TD has
both and ignition warning light and ammeter, I thought
that redundant. The ignition warning light is basicaly a
charge light or idiot light. So it is now a low level
warning light. When I had the sump off, I installed a
level float. The systems works on the grounding principle
where power is supplied to the light and the ground
accomplished by the float. It's a float on a wire which
grounds out the wire coming wire from the lamp.
