Quarter Window Measurement to Prevent Crack of Doom

I am installing the quarter windows on my 1980 MGB.  In order to prevent the
crack of doom, I need to know the measurement of the gap between the quarter
window and the windshield pillar.  And is this measurement with or without the
rubber gaskets on both the window and windshield pillar.
