Hello friends,
Here are a couple more pictures from my ongoing MGB
restoration. The first image is a composite
before-and-after image of the oil pressure gauge
before and after rebuilding.

The exterior is very dirty/gritty and there is water
discoloration on the outer face. Simple cleaning with
water got most of the discoloration. A single gentle
wipe of Windex removed the rest.

The second image is of that same gauge being tested
after reassembly - just to make sure none of the
settings have been disturbed. You can see that the
same voltage and current measured before disassembly
produce a similar 50psi reading.

In the foreground of the second picture you can
read the voltages and currents that give the readin gs
on the various gauges. From these data you can tell
that all of these gauges use about the same bi-metal
strip and heater.
