Thanks, Paul. I guessed as much. My vent line is still in place to the
charcoal canister, so I should be able to use vented or non-vented.

A vented i.e. UK cap will work on all North American cars regardless of
whether the tank vent to the charcoal canister has been sealed off or not.
But if you car has been desmogged and the original tank vent sealed then you
*must* use a vented filler cap or you will get fuel starvation.
