> It is not unusual to have some side movement of the connecting rod and
piston when installed in the cylinder bore without piston rings installed. The
piston is not exactly round, it is egg shaped in the skirt area. The head land
area (where the piston rings are installed) usually has more piston to
cylinder wall clearance than the skirt. These two factors will allow the
piston to rock in the cylinder bore.

Should not be a problem.
